Why Earn Your EA Certification?
Take your career to the next level with the Home Energy Professional (HEP) Energy Auditor certification from BPI. Backed by the U.S. Department of Energy and NREL, this advanced certification proves your ability to evaluate a home’s energy efficiency, health, and safety using diagnostic tools and modeling software. It’s a recognized credential for federal tax credits and contractor grant programs - giving you a competitive edge in the growing clean energy workforce.
The HEP Energy Auditor is listed as an example certification in the State-Based Home Energy Efficiency Contractor Training Grants Program Administrative and Legal Requirements Document. Additionally, HEP Energy Auditor is recognized by DOE as a credential that taxpayers can use to claim the Energy Efficient Home Improvement Credit (Section 25C), and contractors can use to qualify for the Contractor Training Grant Program administered by the State Energy Offices.
