Certified
- Review the Certification Scheme Handbook, Field Guide, and Weatherization Program Curricula for the Crew Leader
- Fill out and submit the Application for Crew Leader Certification
- BPI will notify you once approved and then you can schedule your exam with a BPI Test Center in your area
- Optional Training: While not required, training is a great way to strengthen your knowledge for the exam.
- Take your exam
- Certification: If successful, your certification will be available to download in your candidate account
Exam Information
Online exam: 100 multiple choice questions
Time limit: 2 hours
Passing score: 75%, 69% or higher
(depending on exam)
Field Exam: Field portion and online exam
Time limit: 3.5 hours (field) and 1 hour (online)
Passing Score: 78% (field total)
The field component includes three (3) distinct props on which candidates will complete work. The proctor will depressurize two (2) of the props by approximately 75 Pa. These depressurized props are for single attempt only. Any sign of smoke movement within the prop will indicate a failure on the prop, however, not necessarily on the entire field exam.
